Havells Lifeguard FR-LSH Wire is a fire-safety house wire with 99.97% pure multi-stranded copper for efficient, flexible wiring in homes, apartments and commercial spaces. Its FR-LSH (Flame Retardant Low Smoke Low Halogen) insulation slows the spread of fire, gives off much less smoke than standard FR wire so escape routes stay visible, and limits toxic acid gas (HCl) to under 20%.

ISI marked to IS:694 and rated up to 1100 V AC, it comes in 1 to 6 sq mm wire thickness, in 90 m and 180 m coils, and five colours for phase, neutral and earth coding.

1) What does FR-LSH mean?

Flame Retardant Low Smoke Low Halogen. The insulation slows fire spread, produces less smoke and releases far less toxic acid gas than standard PVC wire, helping people evacuate safely.

2) Is this wire halogen-free?

No. It is Low Halogen, a PVC-based wire with HCl emission limited to under 20%. If your project specifically requires zero-halogen wire, choose a halogen-free product such as Havells' HFFR (Halogen Free Flame Retardant) range instead.

3) Which thickness should I use for an air conditioner?

4 sq mm is the usual choice for ACs, geysers and heavy kitchen appliances. Use 1 – 2.5 sq mm for lights, fans and standard sockets. Always confirm with your electrician based on the appliance load.
